Welcome Summer! Trail Mix

We recently made some trail mix to snack on the go. It's pretty good, especially if you use the freshest & highest quality ingredients possible. Let the kids help with the measuring and stirring.

1 cup unsalted almonds
1 cup banana chips
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/4 cup chocolate candy (like M&Ms)
1/4 cup yogurt covered raisins (we used chocolate)

You can substitute or add any dried fruit (mangoes, apples, pineapples, papaya, etc.), unsweetened coconut, mini pretzels, mixed nuts, and/or sno-caps. Let the kids mix and match! Just beware- it's incredibly addictive. Luckily, it's pretty healthy.

We've also been testing some ice cream recipes since we acquired an ice cream machine. I'll be sure to share if I come across a really good one!
